    query field - table name

I am running an append query to add records from table x to table y. (Access 2K)

Does anyone know how to add an expression in the query that will return the name of table x. I can do this by typing exp1:"x" but am looking for a formula or user defined function as I have to repeat this many times. There is only one table in the query.

    Thanks

Re: query field - table name

Am I missing something here? You already know the name of the table, so what are you trying to do? Why would you have to repeat it many times? Are you trying to reuse a query with different tables? If so, you could always put in a parameter in a calculated field and have the user enter the name for that particular table when the query is run.
