Sharing a printer on win95 with win2k

Hi,

Our department is in the process of upgrading selected PCs. Our IT department is supplying Dells with Win 2000. This has led to a problem with existing users who are printing to shared printer on an old PC with win 95.

Has anyone out any clues on how I can get this to work. When I search for a computer(network neighborhood) from the win 2000 PC, I can see our print server (the win95 PC) but I can't see the printer.

Any ideas?
(I've asked this over in win2000 as well, but we seem to have different posters here.)

Who is not able to share the printer?
The old Win 95 users?
The new Win 2k users?
All users?
A mixture?
I have had printer issues before, I had to set up profiles on the Win 98 (in my case it was WIn 98 not 95) machine. This was in a P2P network.

(Edited by cbaldrey on 05-Mar-03 00:45. Edited to replace mild profanity.)
Good question Kent. The user on the w2k PC can "see" the w95 pc, but when I double-click on the computer (on the w95 pc in the w2k pc's network neighbourhood...GOSH this is getting complex!!) I get an error saying the network path is not available (or such like, I'd have to throw Paul off his PC to cehck for certain...)

Thanks for replying

Problem solved, after a bit of assistance from the win2000 forum...

Adding NETBUI did the trick

Thanks all..
