File New Dialog box display (Word 2002 SR2)

I wonder if someone could help. I recently upgraded from Word 97 and have a small gripe. In Word97 when I called up by File New Dialog box first thing I always changed my view of the template icons from "Large" icons to "List" icons. This would remain as a list for the rest of my login. Every morning after reloading word they always returned to "Large" icons. This didn't bother me much as it was only one click once a day and for the rest of the day my icons appeared listed as I wished them - (we use large file names so the Large Icons were useless). However when I try this trick in Word 2002 eachtime I go in for a new template the icons are always back at Large again. Does anyone know of a way in which I could have this permanently showing as "List" icons as "Large" is no use at all.

Looking forward to hearing from someone !

Re: File New Dialog box display (Word 2002 SR2)

Hi Laura:
I always used a macro in Word 97 because I didn't want to have to change views. It's not very elegant, but should work in Word 2002.
Sub FileNew()
'
' FileNew Macro
' Creates a new document or template
'
SendKeys "%3"
Dialogs(wdDialogFileNew).Show
End Sub

Hope this helps.
