workbook formulas processed before open event (excel 2000/r2)

I have a Excel workbook where I load xla's in the Thisworkbook object of the template. I have noticed that if the workbook has formulas then a "pre-calculation" is processed before the workbook open event. Is there someway to not have this occur?

Could you open <font color=red>"Another"</font color=red> workbook that would turn calculations to manual, (<font color=blue> Application.Calculation = xlManual </font color=blue>) then open your template, your add-Ins and the last add-In closes the <font color=red>"First"</font color=red> workbook and set calculations to Automatic, or what ever you care it to be from that point on?

Seems like a lot of work, and I am searching for an example of what event fires when, and in what sequence, but I am sure that the Workbook.Open is one of the <font color=red>"VERY Early"</font color=red> ones.

    I hope this helps.
