I use Outlook XP for POP3 email only, and when I need to switch between my desktop and laptop machines I simply copy the PST between the two. This works perfectly apart from one annoyance: The Rules lose their destination settings when copied to the laptop, so I have to go through each rule manually and reselect the correct destination folder, even though the file structure has not changed (of course it hasn't, because it is the same PST!). I have a lot of rules, so it's a real pain!
Curiously, the problem does not occur when I copy the PST back from the laptop to the desktop.
Any advice on how to prevent this behavior would be gratefully received!
Ed
