Net Folders

I have been trying to get Net Folders to actually work ever since it was known to "exist". It NEVER has placed ANY Contacts from my shared Contacts folder to the person I gave Editor rights to! The new folder is put into her Outlook 2000 SR-1 .pst file fine. But never, ever, ever, has a single contact gotten there. Yes, I made sure each contact's email addresses were checked "always send in Outlook rich text" and that there are no contacts checked as "private". Every time I try to update the contact folder (within its properties and Share tab), it tells me no updates have been made to send. IF ANYONE CAN SPELL OUT THE EXACT STEPS THAT MAKE NET FOLDERS WORK, PLEASE POST THEM AND/OR EMAIL ME THE MAGIC SOLUTION. This feature is one of the most significant and meaningful aspects of any software on the market. For any small business, it's absolutely beneficial. I will greatly appreciate your help.

Thank you,

Larry Hamilton (lwhamilton@earthlink.net)

The theory is good, but since it's buggy and doesn't work half the time, i'm not sure "significant and meaningful"is a good description. Microsoft apparently agrees, since Netfolders is gone from OL2002.

are you getting any error messages?

see http://www.slipstick.com for how to's, but if sharing only contacts, set up a LDAP server for shared contacts instead. it's not as easy to edit contacts, but more realiable.

MJ, Thanks for your info. No, I do NOT receive any error messages -- nothing ever happens! Are there some settings I don't know about (on either end) that I should try?
Thanks. Larry
