    Automatic Font Color (Office XP)

I'm baffled. I'm working on a Windows 98 computer that has Office XP installed on it. I also installed an HP Deskjet 6122 color printer on it. Now, the "automatic font color" in all programs (except Outlook) shows as dark red instead of black. I know the color can be changed manually each time, but is there some way I can go in and change the "automatic" color to black as it should be? I've resourced all of the Help files and can't find an answer.

Minimize or close all applications, right click the desktop and select properties. In the layout tab, set the color of the Window text to black (if you are working under Windows XP, you have to click the Advanced button to do that)

Thank you so very much. Never thought to look there, nor do I know how the color got changed. However, that doesn't matter as long as you gave me the answer and I really appreciate it. Thanks again.
