I have been using Word 97 and 2000 to try to resolve a problem with a customised commandbar. The commandbar is stored in a template that is used to create a new document from a third party mail merge. The merge document is created ok, except for the fact that the custom commandbar is not displayed and cannot be accessed by right clicking on the menubars and selecting it (it isn't listed).

If I close the document and re-open it, the commandbar appears ok. If I detach the template and re-attach the template, the commandbar appears ok. <img src=/S/confused.gif border=0 alt=confused width=15 height=20>

Has anyone else encountered this, and better still found a way to fix it (without an end user seeing anyhting or having to do anything - the merged document should simply appear with the command bar after the merge has completed).
