Outlook public folder export (Outlook 2002)

I want to export data from a Public Folder on our company's exchange server but cannot see the folder among my list of folders to export. I am the owner of the folder and have ticked "show this folder as an E-mail address book". I know I can copy the info to a private folder and would then be able to export it but is there a better way?

What data do you want to export? Did you try the File, Import and Export Command? In my corporate installation, I don't seem to be prevented from exporting the entire content of Public folders to a PST (which would be a huge file so I didn't test to completion).

Also, did you know that you can set links to specific Public Folder items in the "Favorites" folder and then set up synchronization? That way stuff you need to frequently access is available even if your link to Public folders is unavailable? (May require an offline file setup, which I have, so I'm not sure if this works without one.)
