    app title in msgbox A2K

Sorry if this has been asked. In A97, the MsgBox function can grab the Application Title from Tools-Startup and use it in a message title bar. My newly-installed A2K seems not to do this (although it sez it will). What am I missing?

Possibly a database property called AppTitle? The only way I know of to do this in Access 2000 is with syntax like this:

<pre> MsgBox "Testing AppTitle", vbOKOnly, _
    CurrentDb.Properties("AppTitle")</pre>

It doesn't appear to pick it up automatically the way earlier versions did.

This doesn't address your problem precisely but it is something I find useful.

In a module provide a set of functions such as ErrMsgBox, WarnMsg. I build these with a default title and icon so that I can handle 'default' messages with less typing. It would also mean in your case you just have to provide a private const string in the module for these 'msgbox' titles.

Thanks, Andy, for the tip. I often forget to look for more global solutions. This one will work for me. -George
