    "file not found" opening attachment

I have several users that when they receive an attachment in Outlook and double click the icon to open the file, the application will begin to launch and then an error message is generated indicating that the "file is not found".
If they save the attachment to their hard drive first, then it WILL open. Any Suggestions?
    thanks,

    Re:

Do the file names contain spaces?

You could check Windows Explorer, View menu, Folder Options, File Types tab for the relevant files and *carefully* check the command line for open. Typically, there is a parameter after the program name such as "%1" - the "" enable Windows to see the entire file name, otherwise it tends to think the file name ends at the first space and interprets the rest as a parameter, which is one cause for the error you describe. However - double-clicking the saved file should lead to the same error, so this might not be the issue.

Try running the error message through the <A target="_blank" HREF=http://search.support.microsoft.com/kb/c.asp?>Microsoft Knowledge Base</A>.
