Duplicate E-mails (Outlook 2002)

I have 2 XP Pro computers, with Outlook 2002, set up on a home network. Both computers have different e-mail address. The 2nd computer sends/receives without any problems. Since I set up the other (2nd) computer with a e-mail account, ALL of my e-mail starting coming in duplicates. What/how do I stop the duplicates?

Thank you,

RJ

Are you having the email's removed from the server each time they are be downloaded or are they left there?

Some ISP's have been having problems, this could be them. Who is your email ISP?

Hi DaveA,

I have cable with Charter Pipeline; powered by Earthlink. I've had duplicates of ALL mail for the past 3 months.

RJ,

When you say "duplicates", do you mean that you are getting two of the same e-mails on the PC's? e.g. if someone sends an e-mail to you using a specific address, two of the same e-mail arrives on the PC that uses that address? OR....... do you mean that both PC's are getting the same e-mails sent to a specific address, even though each PC has unique accounts (addresses)? e.g., if someone sends an e-mail to your personal address, that same e-mail arrives on the networked PC that doesn't have your personal account?

Re: Duplicate E-mails (Outlook 2002)

I have the same thing going, but only from one specific sender, where all e-mails are received twice. Looks like it only happens when mails are sent to me from that account, whereas other recipients don't get twin e-mails.
All other e-mails received on my e-mail address are "singles".
We have been looking and searching, and the conclusion is that it must be something between the sending and receiving PC's - possibly on a server somewhere along the line.
