    Chat Wireless Network

I have 2 WXP Home SP1 Client computers wirelessly connected to a W98SE Host machine using cable broadband service. The wireless router is a D-Link 614+ at 22 MBPS.
Is there an easy way to set-up the 3 machines and the router for text chat communications?

    Re: Chat Wireless Network

I do something similar, when I am using NetMeeting with my family (great for remote troubleshooting).
I start by finding out the IP address of my broadband connection - and have them dial me (they are using dialup -so this makes more sense).
The router handles the NetMeeting communication regardless of which computer in my home network I am using.

    Cheers

    Dear Catharine,
Thanks for your reply. I believe you also answered my similar post on another forum and for that I thank you again.
I will try to find a solution by identifying my router's address, as you suggest. Hopefully, it will work for me.
    Have a nice day.

When it comes to the 3 letters, AOL, I would just like to stay away.
    Thanks for your suggestion.

    Re: Chat Wireless Network

There are literally hundreds of freeware intranet chat programs available on the web. A simple search on Copernic turned up dozens of them. Simple to install and they have features such as who is online, file sharing, abuility to send out system messages, etc.
