    Drive format in Windows 2000

I need some help. I'm trying to format an NTFS drive. Should I be formatting in FAT and converting to NTFS or can I format in NTFS? How can i accomplish this?

    Thanks

I think one of Leif's solutions should fix you up. If your using Partition Magic or have that program it will also give you a choice of NTFS during formating.

This is my situation: I have a drive formatted NTFS with W2K Pro on it, I want to reformat it and re-install W2K Pro. Is there a utility out there that will format in NTFS? Should I format using the Format utility in DOS?

A clean install of Win2K should give you that choice, if I'm not mistaken.

You will have the chance when you re-install Win2k.
