    Find (2000 SR1)

    Is there a way in code or another way that when the Find Dialog Box is opened it will default to match "Any part of field" vice "Whole field"?

    You can create a function (in a standard module) that opens the Find dialog box with the Any Part of Field option set:

    Function FindAny()
    SendKeys "%ha%n"
    RunCommand acCmdFind
    End Function

    The SendKeys instruction emulates typing Alt+H to select the Match dropdown list, then A to select Any Part of Field, and finally Alt+N to select the Find box.

    You can assign this function to a toolbar button: set its OnAction property to =FindAny()
    Or you can call it in the OnClick event of a command button on a form.
