Word XP- Difference between AutoFormat tabs... (XP)

We are working on our rollout of Office XP and trying to make sure we have all of our options properly set. In Tools > AutoCorrect Options, does anyone know the difference between the tabs AutoFormat and AutoFormat as you Type? Specifically, we want to make sure that some things don't automatically happen. Built-in Heading styles and Automatic bulleted lists appears on both tabs. What is the difference? Using mst files and policy, we can disable everything on the AutoFormat as you Type tab under Apply as you type, but on the AutoFormat tab under Apply, we have to go another route.

Before we go through all the hassle, I need to make sure it is worth it. So, what's the difference? Anyone know?

    Thanks for any ideas!!!

    Answered my own question...

Found the answer, amazingly enough on Microsoft's support site!
AutoFormat as you type applies these items as you are typing (like it says)
AutoFormat only gets applied if you choose Format > AutoFormat and tell Word to AutoFormat your document.

    Thanks for reading!
