    'Group By' query (AXP)

I have a "group by" select query. I have three columns that show the sums of different types of labor for each work order. The work order number is the top level item. I need to also add together the three types of labor inside the query into another field. How do I add the three columns together?

    Thanks,
    Mark Santos

Say that you have columns FieldA, FieldB and FieldC that are summed in the totals query. Assign aliases explicitly, for instance SumOfFieldA: FieldA etc. Then, you can create a calculated field
GrandTotal:[SumOfFieldA]+[SumOfFieldB]+[SumOfFieldC], and set the Totals option of this calculated field to Expression.

Ah, now that makes sense. I forgot about the "expression" part!

    Thanks Hans!
