No File Find in Win Explorer (win XP, O2k)

In Windows Explorer, when I want to find a file on my hard drive, I'm told that I'm trying to use an O2K Premium function, and prompted to insert my O2k CD. If the CD is already inserted I don't have any problems. I'd like to be able to use Windows find file. Any ideas?

Read This. I found it here Click here after reading below if you need more info.

Each of the components that were available to install had cryptic installation options. I completed the installation without understanding what all the options meant, and it took a visit to Microsoft

Thanks Cowboy. I think that I installed all of my O2K stuff to run off the hard drive, but I'll check tonight when I gete home. What puzzles me more though is that I should even need Office to do a Windows file find - Windows should/does/did(???) have its own file find routine? What about people that don't have Office?

I think the wording of your first post makes it look like you were performing an Office function, not a "Windows" one. When you say "file find," are you using the Search function like the attachment or some hot-key command? The reason I ask is that Ctrl-F in Windows Explorer does open the Search function. However, in Office 2000 (Word) Ctrl-F is for Find and Replace. So, I'm confused.

Can you explain exactly how you are instigating a file find in Explorer?

Is it File > (Drive) > File Finder... ?

I didn't even know that was there!

Does your normal Start > Search > For Files and Folders... work OK?

That's why I asked the question I did, Leif. I don't find anything like that on my setup (XP Pro)...
