    Counting just visible items (2000)

I have a database that I built and everything works great except the one last thing on the various reports. The first column of the report form contains a field labeled [FAR] and this field contains (or will contain) numerous duplicate entries. I need for these duplicate entries to be categorized to save on confusion and I have done this by selecting "Hide Duplicates" = Yes in the properties. However, & this is the root of my question, I have a count field in the Report Footer. This expression works well, but it still counts every record and I would like for it to count just the visible records! (meaning, that I don't want to count any of the duplicates). Can anyone help me figure out an expression that will count the visible FAR numbers?

Why not insert a Distinct statement such as Select Distinct... on the sql statement providing data for the report to eliminate the duplicates in the dataset for the report. This way you won't count the duplicate records as they won't exist. Just my <img src=/S/2cents.gif border=0 alt=2cents width=15 height=15>

    (It's been a while!)
