Office toolbar

The Office toolbar in my Office 2000 installation won't stay "always on top" even though that attribute is checked under Customize/View/Options. Sometimes it just disappears behind a maximized app window, but when I return to the View/Options screen, uncheck and then recheck the "Always on Top" check box, it behaves (for a while). Anyone know how to spoof it into staying there all the time?

A wild guess (how I solve most of my problems). It could be that another app is set to be "always on top" & they're fighting. If you have TweakUI, check the box under Explorer that says to save settings on exit, then close the shortcut bar after you've unchecked & rechecked it to be on top. Then reboot. See if that helps. As I say, a wild guess.

You can't have more that one thing on top. Some programs and web pages will open with the Always on top on and something has to give. I have found that using the "Auto Fit into Title Bar Area" seems to take care of this MOST of the time.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
