hiding a File Menu bar (Access 2000)

Is used the code below to hide the file menu bar in Access97. It does not work now that I converted the db over to access2000. Has something changed? Thanks..

    CommandBars.Item(32).Enabled = False

Re: hiding a File Menu bar (Access 2000)

You've run into the risk of addressing a collection item by its index number. According to my Access 2000, commandbar 32 is Page Design and Menu Bar is 40. If you just use the name of the commandbar instead of its index number, it will behave in either version.
