SQL server temp tbl (Access 2000)

I am wonder if I can create a temporary table (##tmpTable) in SQL server using Access adp file and then in the same adp file create a report that is based on this temporary table.

    Thanks

My understanding is that you can create it from an ADP - and I think as long as you leave the connection open, you can reference the table. I believe once the connection is dropped, the temporary table is deleted. However, I've not done any of this from an adp, so unless someone else has first-hand experience, you will need to experiment.

What I have noticed is that you can create the report based on a stored procedure or a view, but there is no way you can reference the rowsource to a temporary table. If you build a stored procedure on the temporary table, then it will work fine but you just cannot do that directly. Yes you are right that if the connection is dropped, then the temp table is gone as well.

    Thanks
