    Flags work outside Inbox??

I tried setting followup flags on some Outlook 2000 messages (Win2000 machine) and it seems that if the message is NOT in the Inbox, I don't get the flag due notices. I can take a message with an expired due flag and drag it to the Inbox, and immediately get a notice.

I checked on-line help and the MS Knowledge Base and can't find anything that says that flags will only work if the message is in the Inbox, but that seems to be how it's working.

Is that right? Any way around it?

    Thanks!
    Sue

flags only fire from the default folders. should be a KB on it somewhere, the search engine isn't too good though <img src=/S/smile.gif border=0 width=15 height=15>

Ah! Thanks for the KB link. I knew it had to exist... :-)
