    service.lck (2000/SP-3)

I open FrontPage and am immediately greeted with a yellow ! triangle error message that reads
<hr>Server error: Cannot open file "service.lck" for writing<hr>
I am now unable to save new pages.

I have tried Help | Detect and repair... to no avail.

What will it take to get FrontPage to save new pages?

I saw this link http://www.msfrontpage.net/fp/pwebbusy.htm , removed "service.lck" from the appropriate folder, rebooted, tried again, and came up with quote]Server error: Cannot open file "service.cnf" for writing[/quote] I assume that if I delete that file there will be others that need to be deleted (?)

I haven't followed your links yet, Leif, but the web site in question is on the Internet.

That first link did the trick, Leif. I still had the 'Read Only' attributes checked after transferring the files from a CD. Thanks for the helpful insight!
