    Print to File?

<font face="Georgia">I've always wondered what the "Print to File" is. Can someone explain what it is and maybe provide an example of how you would use it?

    Thanks,

    Re: Print to File?

If you have want to use a printer that you do not have but someone else does, you can install the the printer driver for that printer, print a file to a file. Then copy (the print file) it it to floppy or email it, and then go to the other ones computer and run the print job there. It is NOT used much today, but in the DOS days when the print drivers were for EACH program, it was a great work around.

And if you have the "Generic" printer installed, you can print to a text file.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
