    1-9 part 2

    Using the numbers 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9 once and once only place them into this grid. You must put the mathematical signs in a different place to puzzle 1-9.

    Thank the lord, it is the same answer to me, but I still can't get a grid with a multiplication. I even tried my rudimentary excel VBA on it and haven't got an answer yet!!!!

    I used excel formula's to a degree

    a count of each number in the grid
    a few validation rules such as 9 couldnt be divded by 3 or any number by 1
    and a look up to what numbers i had left if iw as to go for a plus/divide/* /minus

    Sorry for the delay in answering. The original question from my daughter's teacher was to use all the operators but this question has proved very difficult for a lot of the mums and dads too!!!!!

    I have been mucking about with this, on and off, for the last 7 days have come up with a similar one to you ,if not the same ( it is on my home PC and forgot it this morning!)

    Is it really possible? The annoying thing is the teacher hasn't got the answer either. <img src=/S/crybaby.gif border=0 alt=crybaby width=15 height=15>
