FILE SIZE LIMIT TO ACCESS??? (Access 2000)

Does anyone know if there is a limit to the size that Access can grow before it crashes? Or is this irrelavant? Can it just grow as big as the computer will hold? I'm just trying to decide whether I should make separate databases for each year, or not.

Access 2000 will grow to 2Gb if you let it.
I have just completed a project that saw me create a database per year, these databases will grow to 300-400Mb each, so I am well inside the limit. The beauty of this approach is that you can just delete a database (the oldest ones of course) since I use the IN clause to describe the database name inside queries.

    I don't understand this Pat.
If you create a separate database each year why would you bother to delete old ones?

Or are you creating a a single front end to multiple back ends?
    Regards

When the old ones become a certain age then they get deleted.

    Yes.
