    2 IF statements (excel xp)

    A B C D E
    89 c 94 A

    -5s = (A1-D1) & IF(ISTEXT(B1)," S","")

I am creating a formula to concatenate an "S" to the difference between A1 and D1 if there is a letter in B or E. The above works for Column B but i don't know how to add Column E to the formula. Thanks for the help.

    Would

    =(A1-D1)&IF(ISNUMBER((B1&E1)+0),""," S")

    also suffice?
