    Acrobat & Access (A2k)

    Just wondering.

I use Acrobat Reader 4.0 and Acrobat Writer 4.0.

I created a utility, (prev on this forum) which incorporates the reader.

I would like to be able to use the writer in the form instead.
Can this be done, and has anyone else achieved this.

    Re: Acrobat & Access (A2k)

Trying Acrobat 5.0, here's how far I have got.

I've changed references and re-created the Tools|Acrobat for activeX.
The db will load and find the first PDF which is a default page for the user.
    BIS.pdf
When clicking the Find PDF which is cmdLoad, the correct folder opens showing all available pdf's then hangs.

    See error attachment.

    Re: Acrobat & Access (A2k)

I've done some research on this only to find their really isn't a one hit cure.
The error apparently is a common occurance with Windows > 2000.

Many companies have experienced the error with a wide variety of Visual Basic hybrids.

On the other hand, with Acrobat 4.0, the associated OCX is limited in such a way, only to provide the reader and no way of incorporating the writer capabilities.
