Using text boxes with tables (2000)

I have created a table to make name tags. I have inserted a bitmap for a necessary graphic and am using WordArt for the name. I also need to insert a small graphic for the corner of the name tag and am using a text box to do so. I never had a problem with this format with Word 97, but now when I try to move the text box into the corner of the name tag, it shoves the bitmap out of position. There must be a way to format the text box to float over everything instead of moving stuff around, but I'm running out of time (and patience <img src=/S/angel.gif border=0 alt=angel width=15 height=21> ) in discovering it. I can make it work by inserting the bitmap in a text box, but I have several files to work with and I would rather not have to change all my files. Why do upgrades try to fix things that aren't broke??? It used to be so EASY with Office 97.

Re: Using text boxes with tables (2000)

Select each object (Wordart, Graphic, Textbox) then select FORMAT/OBJECT click the LAYOUT tab and choose IN FRONT OF TEXT. Each object can now be dragged wgere you want it without affecting each other.

Sorry for the late reply -- haven't had the chance to check back in awhile. Thanks for the info -- I can always count on the WOPR forum for an answer!
