    New Windows (IE6)

    Hi

    Can anyone please tell me how to stop explorer opening a new window everytime I want to go to different site.

    It depends on what you mean.

    If you are clicking a link from a web page to go to a new site, you may not be able to stop that. You can code web pages to open a new browser window, which a lot of sites do to "keep" you on their site.

    If that's the case, then I'm afraid there is nothing that you can do, as far as I'm aware. It's a design feature of web browsing.

    If you mean something else then you'll need to be more specific.

    Tools > Internet Options > Advanced >
    and selecting "Re-use windows for launching shortcuts"
    will cut down on the number of windows unintentionally being opened.
