XP - use of 'Tools, Find'

Can the old Win95 option of calling up a folder in Windows Explorer and then using Tools:Find be replicated in XP, to which I have just moved. WinKeyF defaults to the top folder, even if you have explorer open in the folder you want to search in Explorer.

There is no Tools:Find in WinXP, but there's a big Search button at the top of the Windows Explorer screen. If you drill down to the folder you want to search and then hit the Search button, it will do what you're asking. As far as I know, the Win-F key is programmed to start at the top (all local drives). There is software around to change that behaviour, but why bother?

Hi Big Al, On my XPP machine CTRL+F starts at the folder that is open. Of course, I've modified the default search behavior to get rid of the animation and allow the 'advanced' search specifications.

Thanks guys! I'm a keyboard sorta guy, Big Al, but Control-F works fine for me.

    Contentedly,
