    border of a table

    Is there a way to show only the bottom border of a table?

    Yes there is James. If you turn the border off for the whole table, by making it's size 0 instead of 1, then highlight the bottom row of cells. Select Table Properties Cell, then in the dialog box, click on Style Format Borders. In the Preview window you can then click on the bottom line button and it will put a line across the bottom of the table.
