    Record Source Problem (VB 6.0)

First off, I am new to Visual Basic, so the solution to my problem might be extremely simple.

What I am doing is creating an executable program that uses a "Data" object to scroll through one of the tables in my Microsoft Access database file (mdb). I set the "Connect" property to "Access" and the "DatabaseName" property is properly linked to the database file. When I try and set the "RecordSource" property I get the error: "Unrecognized database format C:/.../file.mdb". Is there something that I am overlooking or doing incorrectly? Is there a version problem between Microsoft Access 2000 and Visual Basic 6.0?

What happens if you set the Connect property to (surprise surprise) Access 2000 instead of plain Access?
