    Help with Functions (Access 2000)

I am not an Access novice, but I do need help with function syntax and use sometimes. How do I get help for built-in Access functions??? It used to be easy in prior versions. Just go to Expression Builder, highlight a function and click Help! Now all I get is How to use Expression Builder. Useless...

    Thanks in advance

Re: Help with Functions (Access 2000)

This is a nuisance indeed. In Access 97, the Access help and VBA help were far more integrated. In Acess 2000 and 2002, you have to go to the Visual Basic Editor to get help about functions.

Activate the Visual Basic Editor (Alt+F11)
    Activate the Object Browser (F2)
Type the name of an object, method, property, event, function or procedure in the Search box, then press Enter.
The bottom pane of the Object Browser displays syntax information; F1 will usually show the corresponding help item.

You can also type the name of an object etc. in the Immediate box (Ctrl+G to get there) and type F1.
