IE window stuck in splitsville (IE6/WinME)

I have this annoying problem. The other day I was in MS word and used the "arrange all" feature to work on two docs. Since then, whenever I am online and click on a web page link that opens another window, the second window opens up in the split screen. I have to maximize it to get it to fill the whole screen.

Is there something I can do to fix this? This only happens if I select a link. If I type in the URL or select a bookmark, it works fine. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Drag (do NOT max by using the upper right button) the pane to the size that you want and then close by using the menu, File colse. When you then open it again, it should be at the new size.

Now running HP Pavilion a6528p, with Win7 64 Bit OS.
