Formula only adds H cells w/ a cells that have 'b' (Excel xp)

I have a stock spreadsheet that has the "stock names" in column b and the total amount in column H.
Column "a" either has blank cells or cells that contain the letter b for those shares held at the brokerage account
I would like to create a formula that only adds H column cells that have corresponding column a cells that contain the letter b
example below would yield total result of 2656
    a b c d e f g h i
    Wells Fargo Corp. WFC 100.00 47.08 47.08 0.27 $4,708.00 $27.40
    B Wells Fargo capital WSF 100.00 26.56 26.56 (0.05) $2,656.00 $(4.81)
    TOtal Brokerage : $2656
    Thanks

Say you have data in rows 2 to 37. The following formula using the SUMIF function will add the values in column H that have a "B" in the corresponding cell in column A:

    =SUMIF(A2:A37,"B",H2:H37)
