Excel Link to Access Code (2000)

Can anyone tell me that when I link an Excel table to a query in Access, would I be able to see the actual code for the link and edit it ?

Re: Excel Link to Access Code (2000)

I don't know what you mean exactly by the "actual code for the link", but the following probably comes near:
<UL><LI>Select any cell within the linked table (in Excel).
<LI>Select Data/Get External Data/Edit Query... (or click the Edit Query button on the External Data toolbar).
    <LI>The Query Wizard opens.
<LI>You can change the columns in the first step, the filter in the second step and the sort order in the third step. If that is not what you want, select the option to edit the query in Microsoft Query in the last step, then click Finish.
<LI>In Microsoft Query, you can edit the query more or less the way you can in Access, even look at the SQL statement.[/list]HTH
