Parameter Query as Record Source (AC97 SR-1)

Whew! I know its simple but.................
I have a Totals Query which calculates and sumarises data correctly. There is a dates field in which I have added a 'Between [Enter Start Date] and [Enter End Date]' parameter. This also works, filtering correctly when I run the query. But, when I make this query the record source for a form..........zilch, nuttin, MT.

If I have embaressed myself here with something obvious and stupid, please hold me up as an example when teaching others.

Did you actually add the parameters to the query or are you just using them in criteria?

Try creating parameters for the two items. Click on the Query menu and select Parameters. Enter Enter Start Date] as one parameter and [Enter End Date] as another. Assuming you're matching them up to a date field, the datatype in the parameters should be date/time.

I hate to say this, but I have just built a form with a query like you described and it works.
I didn't have to define the 2 parameters on the PARAMETERS line in the query, in fact I don't have a PARAMETERS line in the query. However, this is not helping you.

I know it should work in a regular query that way, but I wonder if the fact that it's a totals query is causing the problem? That's why I suggested trying the parameters.

I made a totals query and made this the source of a new form.

Nothing special, I just used the wizard to create the form.
