    Append Query (Access 2002)

I have a database that copies a table before a delete query runs. What I would like to do is be able to reload using an append query to repopulate the table that was deleted. The problem that I am having is that the user needs to be able to choose which backup table to reload.

    For example:
I have a list box that lists all the back up tables. The user then selects which backup to load. I can grab the table name but how do I specify in the query which table get the data from.

    Any idea is appreciated.

    Re: Append Query (Access 2002)

You can't use the table name as a parameter in a query.

You can use code to change the SQL of the stored append query before running it, or you can create the SQL statement for the append query on the fly and use CurrentDb.Execute to run it. Post back if you need more detail.
