    Dictionary Switch (2002)

    Hi everyone,
For some strange reason my dictionary suddenly changed to French Canadian. I have no idea why it does that but it happens at least 3 times a year. Does anyone have any rhyme or reason why this happens.

In addition to setting the language under Tools/Language/Set Language for both the document & the template (the default button), make sure that you don't have "Automatically detect language" checked. Also, check that the correct language is used on the keyboard (Control Panel/Keyboard/Language tab) & also under Regional settings.

I have Word 2000 on Win98 so I don't know if some of the locations have changed. I also have Microsoft Office Language Settings under the Start Menu/Programs/Microsoft Office Tools. However, I don't recall if I installed this specially with the Office Resource Kit.

    Hope this helps.
