Memorizing an appointment (2002 (10.4712.4219) SP2)

Is there a way to get Outlook to memorize an appointment for reuse? I have some appointments or day-long events that occur repeatedly, but not in a recurring pattern. Is there a way to save them in a list, so when I want to mark a day off, for example, I can just go to the list and make that happen? (I usually mark those with as many X's as I can fit in the box, color them red, and banner them across the top of the day. Not that I'm protective of my time off, or anything . . .)

    Thanks

Will copying the previous irregular repeat appointment suffice? Using the right mouse button, drag it to the desired day. OL appears to move it, but when you drop it you get the choices to move, copy, or cancel.
