Conditional formatting for Div/0! (Office 2000)

    Hello,

I am trying to use the conditional formatting for cells that have a division by 0 to have font white, so the error messae does not show, but I cannot get it to work.
I put in the conditional formatting : formula is ="#DIV/0!", then I tried with Cell Value is ="#DIV/0!", but nothing is changing.

My actual data in that cell is =Sheet1!AA5/Sheet1!AA$4*100 and because the AA$4 is non existent yet, I get the Div/0 error.

    Can anyone help me please?

    Thanks,
    K.

You could try one of these:
    =IF(ISERR(AA5/AA$4*100 ),0)
    or
    =IF(ISERR(AA5/AA$4*100 ),0,AA5/AA$4*100 )

    edit: added a missing word

You can avoid the #DIV/0 errors entirely, if that is acceptable, by adjusting the formula to:

    =IF(Sheet1!AA$4,Sheet1!AA5/Sheet1!AA$4*100,)

<P ID="edit" class=small>(Edited by sdckapr on 10-Apr-03 10:00. added the part of equation I forgot)</P>Use the formula if you JUST want to get the div/0 error:
    =ERROR.TYPE(AA5/AA$4)=2

    or
    =iserror(aa5/AA$4)

if you want to "hide" any error.
