    invisible header/footer (XP)

    I could see and edit my footers this morning - sometime during the edit process of the main document, I could no longer see the footer!!!! Have no clue how to bring it back 'cause I have no clue how it disappeared!!!! Please help.

    Try View/Print Layout. This is the only view in which you can see headers and footers.

    That one I know - making me crazy!!! A co-worker in another location can't see her task pane. What's up with this?

    This was asked only yesterday too. I replied in <post#=242988>post 242988</post#>:

    Switch to the Visual Basic Editor by pressing Alt+F11.
    Activate the Immediate window by pressing Ctrl+G.
    Type CommandBars("Task Pane").Position = msoBarRight then press Enter.
    Switch back to Word.
    Is the Task Pane visible now? If not, post back.

    For the non-VB method...Try Tools | Options, View tab "White Space between pages". This can also be accessed if you hover your mouse under the ruler...
