    WPD Conversion Crash

In attempting to open a Word Perfect document (xxxx.wpd), we received the following error:

"Winword has caused an error in WPFT632.cnv. Winword will now close".

We are using Word 2000 SR1 under Win ME. Does anyone have, or know of a location from which we can obtain, a more recent converter? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    TIA.

    Hi Carol:

I'm not sure this will help you. Have you installed the converter or run repair on Word. See http://Winword has caused an error in WPFT632.cnv, which indicates that The WordPerfect 6.x converter is included with Word and is part of the Run from My Computer installation.

    Phil:

    Thanks for the reply.

The converter is installed but we have not yet run repair. Also, the hyperlink points to http://winword/ and therefore is inaccessible. Could you please repost the url. It might just hold a clue!

    Thanks again.

I'm sorry. I must have copied the wrong URL. I don't know that this will help much; it just indicates some information about converting.

    It's here

    Hope this helps.
