Underlining of Shortcut Keys? (XP SP1)

    Hi,

The attached screenshot of the WinXP start menu shows that the shortcut characters which WERE underlined in former versions of Windows are no longer underlined. Yet they all work.

What can be the wisdom of not showing them & leaving them there?
Did MSoft GUI developers forget to put the underlines in?

    Hi, M.Q. ~

Try this with your 'Classic' mode:<UL><LI>Right-click desktop > 'Properties'<LI>'Appearance' tab > 'Effects' button<LI>Uncheck 'Hide underlined letters for keyboard navigation...'<LI>'OK' > 'Apply' > 'OK'[/list]

Of the items shown in your attachment, which have and what are the short cut ? I do NOT see anything that would have a shortcut key to.

I do NOT have a check mark and no short cut letters are listed in the classic "Start Menu". I even booted my laptop into Me and there are NONE there.

Are you sure you had them in the "Start Menu"?

Thanks Al, I have the menu set in the SMALL mode and did NOT see the underlining.
