    Advance Field \y switch (2002)

I would like to use the Advance field code to move text to a specific vertical position. The y switch should do this, but it's doing NOTHING! All other switches work the way they are supposed to, this is the only one I'm having an issue with. The code looks like this: { ADVANCE y 5.5 } I would expect this to move the text down 5.5 inches. This measurement would not place the text outside the print area. All help topics I can find relate to older versions of Word, so I don't know if this is an XP thing. Please help!

Re: Advance Field \y switch (2002)

    Hi Donna,

The ADVANCE field switches work in points, not inches. For example, {ADVANCE y 120} would position the text 120 points below the top of the page. Your 5.5 (points) probably isn't sufficient for anything to show ...

    Cheers
