File Save As and Registry Query (Word 2002 SR2)

Hi, I wonder if someone could advise. Is there any way of disabling the File Save As option in the Registry? One of our advanced users wants to do this but we cannot find any information anywhere, and have looked nervously at the registry but cannot see a key.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think that you can do this by changing a Registry setting. You would probably have to use application-level events, but may I ask why you would want to do this?
    1. Users can always copy a document in Windows Explorer and rename the copy. This has the same result as Save As.
    2. Disabling Save As would make it impossible to create a new document and save it - Save for a new document is equivalent to Save As.

To be honest Hans I'm not sure why!!! Thanks for the advice anyway - I'll pass it on.
