Sorting the View of Data in a Report (A2k SR1)

I have been requested to give the users the ability to sort the view of data in a report by either ascending or descending order (The sort field is a percentage field) by adding a command button. Can this be done in a report?

I believe I have seen this question and answer in another post but can't find it.

    Thanks
    Regards,

    Gary

Reports aren't interactive, so there is no use in putting a command button on a report. You can use a small form with the PopUp property set to True, with a command button to change the sort order of the report, or you can create a custom toolbar button to do the same.

The MSKB seems to be offline at the moment I'm writing this, but <!mskb=208532>Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 208532<!/mskb> describes how to use a popup form to sort a report; this article also contains a link to download the RptSmp00.mdb samples database with a working demo.

Thanks Hans. I am looking at both methods to determine which will provide the better solution. <img src=/S/cheers.gif border=0 alt=cheers width=30 height=16>
