    Outlook 2000

At irregular intervals, when I reply to an e-mail using the Reply Button, my reply , when I click Send, does an instant circular hop and zooms around into my In Box instead of going to the intended recipient!!! Any ideas?

do you have more than one account set up? it sounds like it's try to send on the wrong account.

i have that problem too. it turns out that i have a rule set up to put certain messages into specific folders if there is something particular about it like someone's address. if i hit reply, the rule applies itself on the out going message. i don't know why that is but it dosent affect the recipiant at all. they still get the message. maybe you are having the same problem and you should check to see if you have any type of rules or some other automation going on.

Yes, that may be the trouble, but in my case the recipient doesn't get the email...at least it doesn't appear in the Sent box.

    Re: Outlook 2000

Well, as it turns out, i thought the recipient wasn't getting my messages either for the same reason. it never showed up in sent items folder. it always went where ever the crazy rule sent it. but it turns out i was wrong. all the messages get to thier intended target. so it appears that my rule setting applies to any message not just messages coming in. therefore the sent items folder is not immune. it picks it right out of there and sends it back at me clearing the entry in sent items. you should try to send me a message at drx@rxp.com and i'll let you know if i get it.

Thanks. Now that you have pointed it out it only seems to happen when I reply to people that my "rules" have routed to a special folder other than the Inbox. I wonder if Microsoft know about this quirk in Outlook?
